Local Buses
We are pleased to advise that there is bus stop just 500 yards from Island Lodge on the A381. As you leave the site entrance turn right and walk to the end of the lane.
The Tally Ho 164 bus goes to Kingsbridge and continues to Salcombe, or cross over the road to catch the Tally Ho 164 bus to Totnes.
Alternatively from the opposite side of the road you can catch the Stagecoach 93 bus to Dartmouth.
From Kingsbridge you can also take the Stagecoach 93s to Torcross, the Stagecoach 3 to Plymouth or the Tally Ho 162 to Thurlestone & Hope Cove (Limited service).

Car Parking
The main towns and villages, and some beaches have easy accessible car parks which are operated by the local council. We would recommend that you download the PAYBYPHONEAPP, this saves worrying about having the correct change.
There are also some privately owned car parks which offer contactless payment but some are still cash, and National Trust car parks use the PAYBYPHONEAPP. (free if you are a member)
Motorhome Parking and Height Restrictions
If you are out and about in your motorhome please be advised that the following car parks have height restrictions:
Totnes (Civic Hall and Victoria Street)
Slapton (Memorial)
Salcombe (Park and walk)
Daytime parking is available in selected car parks in Totnes, Ivybridge and Modbury, for Dartmouth please use the Park and Ride car park.
